It is a pleasure to invite you to Hyderabad to participate in "Sunayana 2007", the 65th Annual Meeting of the All India Ophthalmological Society, February 1-4, 2007.

Hyderabad, one of the most distinctive and historic of Indian cities is the fifth largest city in India. The city pulsates with life, providing a fine blend of the old world charm and its distilled flavor with the exuberant energy and passion of the Generation Next. Here it is that you can savor the rich, yet serene Nawabi culture even as you mingle with its cosmopolitan rhythm. Hyderabad is known for its social harmony, traditional hospitality and legendary cuisine. It enjoys a central geographic location and is well connected by Air and Surface transport. The climate in February is balmy and invigorating to say the least.

The annual meeting of the All India Ophthalmological Society today is the second largest congregation of eye care professionals in the world. The Scientific Committee is planning a conference with impact. The Meeting will assemble an outstanding faculty and a strong representation of clinical opinion leaders. We will be inviting the true pioneers in the field of ophthalmology to share with us their unique experiences and offer new perspectives. We would like to encourage everyone to submit abstracts for consideration for presentation. 

The conference will be held in the most modern state-of-the art conference and exposition facilities - Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) and Hyderabad International Trade Expositions (HITEX) located in the new knowledge corridor of Hyderabad appropriately called the Cyberabad. There are numerous hotels in the city with periodic shuttle bus service to the venue. However, February being the peak convention season, do book your accommodation in advance. The local organizing committee will provide individualized assistance with hotel reservations, custom designed tours to explore Andhra Pradesh and South India. As is the current trend, most of the transactions will be made online. An elaborate social program showcasing the local cultures and traditions is being planned. It shall be our endeavor to make your stay at Hyderabad, a pleasant one, with memories to cherish for the future.
